Death Order: Simon Says NPC Locations

Find Marlow, Wren, and Free Man in Death Order: Simon Says using cautious prison landmarks, then confirm each badge conversation.

Three enabled official badges identify the current conversation targets in Death Order: Simon Says: Talk to Marlow, Talk to Wren, and Talk to Free Man. The badge data proves whom you must talk to, while current public route descriptions provide practical but update-sensitive landmarks.

Search during a safe phase. A correct NPC route is not worth losing the match because a command or Event begins while the dialogue fills the screen.

The landmark wording is a navigation aid, not an official coordinate. If the live prison differs, search the named zone systematically and trust the visible NPC name.

Find Marlow

Start from a prison area you can reliably return to, then move toward the wall associated in current route descriptions with older inmates. Keep the camera wide enough to read character names and interaction prompts. Scan the length of the wall rather than checking one remembered spot.

Confirm Marlow on the live name or prompt before interacting. A nearby player, generic inmate, or decorative character does not satisfy the badge condition. Trigger the conversation once and allow the dialogue or interaction state to finish.

If Marlow is not at the first landmark, check adjacent wall sections and both sides of nearby openings before abandoning the level. An update, server state, or camera occlusion may make the old route incomplete.

Find Wren

Current public route descriptions place Wren in the basement beneath stairs, close to boxes and purple graffiti. Use the stairs as the primary landmark, then scan under and around them. Boxes or wall art help narrow the search, but the live Wren name is the final confirmation.

Basements can hide prompt text behind the camera or geometry. Turn the camera before pressing the interaction and leave a route back to the main floor. If a Simon Says command appears, prioritize the command and return later rather than remaining in dialogue.

Do not assume every purple mark identifies the exact spot. Follow the level, stairs, and NPC name together.

Find Free Man

Community routes describe Free Man near a winner area or old-man corner. Because that language is informal, first identify the current prison region that matches those landmarks, then search its edges for a named interaction.

Free Man may be confused with descriptive world text or another character. The official badge specifically requires talking to Free Man, so use the NPC label and interaction prompt as the test.

If access depends on a match state in the current build, follow the live game transition. No permanent unlock rule is asserted here. Do not use an unofficial teleport or leave the active play area to force the interaction.

NPC hunting competes with the main survival objective. Use lobby time, a clearly safe transition, or a round state in which the interface permits exploration. Keep the command text visible even when approaching an NPC.

Before opening dialogue, check whether an Event preparation message is active, whether players are moving toward a required location, and whether you can exit the conversation promptly. If any answer is uncertain, wait.

For a first win or Untouchable attempt, separate badge goals across matches. Searching a basement corner adds route risk that may not help the survival run.

Make the conversation count

Approach until the live interaction prompt appears, press the current bind once, and wait for the first dialogue state. Continue only with options the game presents. Do not walk away immediately after the first animation; allow the conversation to register.

Afterward, check the badge notification or your Roblox badge ownership. If no badge appears, consider four causes: you spoke to the wrong character, the dialogue did not finish, you already own the badge, or notification was delayed. Repeating the interaction rapidly is less useful than identifying which cause applies.

The exact dialogue text is not required by the official badge descriptions and may change. This page does not reproduce it.

Troubleshoot a missing NPC

  • Recheck the current NPC name rather than the character’s appearance.
  • Search adjacent parts of the landmark before moving to another floor.
  • Widen or rotate the camera to reveal prompts behind stairs, walls, or boxes.
  • Confirm that you are in the main Death Order: Simon Says experience, Place 18666738837.
  • Let the current command or Event resolve, then return during a safe phase.
  • Rejoin a normal live server if the environment is visibly incomplete.
  • Treat an old video route as a starting point, not a fixed coordinate.

Efficient three-NPC route

Do not promise a single fastest path across all versions. Instead, group the search by level: clear the visible wall sections for Marlow, use the nearest safe stairs to inspect Wren’s basement area, then move to the winner or old-man corner for Free Man. Stop the route whenever the game issues an actionable command.

Record which NPC conversation registered. On the next safe phase, continue from the missing name rather than repeating all three. The official badges are independent, so there is no confirmed requirement to complete them in one match or one order.

Frequently asked questions

Which NPC badges are active?

The official catalog lists Talk to Marlow, Talk to Wren, and Talk to Free Man as enabled as of October 7, 2026.

Do I need to talk to them in order?

No order is stated in the official badge conditions. Treat each named conversation as a separate objective.

Why is the NPC not at the exact spot in a video?

The video may show another update, camera angle, or server state. Use the zone as a lead and confirm the live name.
